Studio C

Last week I had a neat opportunity to be an extra in a Studio C taping. (If you aren't familiar with the show, here is there Youtube Channel.) I honestly can't say too much about it because the new season hasn't aired yet (coming this fall). But here is what I can tell you:

There is a studio A and a studio B. The show Studio C is filmed in BYUtv's studio C. Other shows and things are filmed in studios A and B.

There is a brand new cast for the upcoming season of Studio C. One of them (Arvin) is even from my hometown of St. Louis!

We weren't allowed to wear any clothes with logos on them. But they didn't tell us that beforehand. So there were a lot of people that had to turn their shirts backwards or inside out. I actually thought about it before I left the house and made sure to wear a shirt with no company logos on it. But there was a graphic and that wasn't okay either. When the new season airs, look for the people in backwards and inside out shirts - and then giggle - and know that I am giggling about it too.

Being an extra is boring. It probably would have been a ton more fun if I had been able to find someone to come with me. But the invitation was put out with little notice. (Honestly, the fact that I happened to have nothing going on for 6 hours on a Friday was a miracle.) There was a guy there to entertain the extras in between takes, so that was nice. But overall, there was an awful lot of waiting around. I'm glad I was able to have this experience - but I also learned that being an extra is not for me.

We filmed the opening to the new season. I'm not going to say more about it because they asked us not to spoil the surprise. And while I probably won't be visible in the opening, you are more than welcome to look for me!

And finally, here is a picture of me sitting in studio c.

Stay tuned! Next up: SvahaUSA
