Noodles and Company Soft Opening

Last month, a new Noodles and Company location opened up in our area. I was lucky and snagged a seat at their soft opening event (thanks to a facebook ad).

If you have never been to a soft opening, it is basically when a restaurant is just about ready to open, they have a day or two when people can come and eat (usually for free) to give the staff practice before they are officially opened to the public. The soft openings I have been to in the past usually are "invite only," but when you can get an invite, it is a neat experience.

For Noodles and Company, I quickly had my friend Savannah sign up too. We each got to bring one guest (we chose our littles while our bigger littles were in school). And then everybody got to pick an entree and a drink for free.

The soft opening was well organized with people checking guests in, friendly staff greeting us, servers and cooks who knew what they were doing. They were clearly trained well.

I ordered Alfredo MontAmore with parmesan-crusted chicken and Little D ordered Wisconsin Mac and Cheese. I forget what my friend and her little ordered - oops - one of them was made with zoodles (zuchinni noodles). What I do remember is that the food was delicious. My dish was really good - especially the parmesan-crusted chicken. And Little D's mac and cheese was very cheesy and scrumptious. Next time I go to Noodles and Company, I will probably get the Wisconsin Mac and Cheese with the parmesan-crusted chicken on top. I know mac and cheese isn't very "grown-up," but I don't care.

Stay tuned! More on the way!

  1. Lol, Felix's face!! Yes, I got the pesto zoodles and it was sooooo good! Felix didn't care for his pad Thai but it did have a little spice to it. His brother scarfed down the leftovers happily! Thanks for inviting us. I really enjoyed the whole experience 😊

  2. Oh and we loved the custom drink machine there. Felix had some kind of vanilla infused creme soda and that was his whole lunch XD
